I-4 to Exit 119 (Highway 44), turn west. Go 5 miles into downtown Deland.
Cross US highways 17-92 and pass the county courthouse. Jr's is located on
your right in the "historic" Putnam Hotel at 225 West New York Ave.

DJ Driven—No Band!
JR's Country Club represents the "young and
restless" country music fans and dancers in West Volusia County, Florida.
Located just 20 miles west of Daytona Beach off I-4, JR's attracts young
country dancers from all over East Central Florida.
Blending a mix of current country, dance favorites, and
some rock & roll, the crowd packs the facility on Friday and Saturday
nights. A hip-hop, house music dance club is located in the same building
and patrons drift back and forth from one club to the other. You are just as
likely to see off-road pickup trucks in the parking lot as well as
Harley-Davidson and Japanese motorcycles. |

| SPECIAL NOTE: Dusty and Gloria opened JR's Country Club in 1996. New owners in June 2005 asked them to return which they did for one night per week only. In October 2006, those owners decided to make a change and to incorporate more non-country music. Under the circumstances, DO NOT look for Dusty and Gloria to ever set foot in the facility again. | |||

Saturday night it's "The unknown DJ" cranking out the country dance music with a lot of non-country music. At last report, the club was using a bouncer as the DJ. |
